Hung ... Again to the power of 4

Why hello everyone, again to the power of 4, since everyone else is soooo lazy to post, here I am posting again .... to the power of four.

In this post I will be continuing on my last post of our Kota Kinabalu trip. To referesh everyone, we checked in at at one in the morning, slept, ate breakfast, swam in the pool, and lounged around the beach. After we got back to our hotels, we all showered and got ready for dinner at a resort restaurant called Naan.

As you can tell from the picture on the left, Naan was an Indian resturant ... sorry I mean a DAMN GOOD GOD GIVEN Indian resturant. As we entered the dinning area it was not very busy as it was not really dinner time yet. However, the resturant area was generally nice and the lighting was very ambient and calming, and all of the workers are really nice and welcoming as usual.

Soon after we sit down at our very nice looking dinner table, a waiter comes and unfolds our dinner napkins for us and places them on our laps. At the same time, another waiter comes and offers the girls a small decorative sticker that they can put on their foreheads, just to give them that extra little bit of Indian experience. It was pretty much an instant transformation ... like magic two Bruneians instantly became two Indians =)

Anyways, after looking at the menu for a while the girls decided to get the
following to share between the two.

Stuffed and baked Shrimp

Potatoe curry, eaten with Naan (India flat bread)

Breaded lamb accompanied with a small salad

I acutally almost forgot to mention that before our dinner had started, they offerred us some great finger food. It was a plate of Indian cracker type things that came with 4 different flavors of chutney: Mango, Apple, Yoghurt (or coconut can't remember), and Peanut Butter.

Back to the dinner, Tony and I decided, compared to the girls, decided to go big and get a 10 course meal (sort of) ... and boy did we ever choose the right thing to get. For starters we had a plate consisting of the first 3 courses.

It included some nicely cooked flat break topped with tomatoe sauce, the same stuff shrimp that the girls had ordered, and some of the best cooked, most tender chicken in the world ... mouth watering and too die for, I kid you not.

After we chowed down on our exquisite appetizers, they cleared out plated and quickly placed out main course out.The main course was 4 different curries, each with its own distinct flavor. It also came with saffron rice which was mixed in with dried grapes and Naan both while wheat and plain.

Saffron Rice

Lentil Curry
Lamb Curry
Lobster Curry
Chicken Curry
To finish off our fine meal, we had a grated carrot cake type thing. Tony and the girls didn't like it very much but I thought it was good. There was a light ginger taste to it that made it very refreshing.
And that, everyone, was our meal for the night. Oh and for drinks Chai-Ying and Debbizzle got some Mango Lassies, which are yoghurt mango shakes, and I had a iced lemon tea. For prices, it was around 200 Ringgit (Malaysian currency, divide by three to get CND $) each for Tony and I and for the girls about 150 Ringgit each. That pretty much concluded our first day, if anything we just wentback to our rooms and watched TV together. They had the family channel and we ended up watching a lot of Hannah Montanna, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, etc.
PS: Sorry for the bad formatting ... I HATE THIS DAMN SITE, IT SO HORRID.
