Debbie and I are back sooooon! June 12! We are both are sooo ready to come home =) I'm done with living out of a suitcase and have ants crawl out of my keyboard. Yay! Debbie and I are currently in Brunei, though we haven't seen each other since Singapore lol We talk to each other over the phone sometimes, but I'm pretty sure Debbie avoids calling me because she's afraid of my grandma picking up again LOL.
Anyways, I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Brunei =) I can't seem to upload any pictures, so I'll just do it when I get home. The Brunei heat is damn excruitiating but the copious amounts of chicken rice + chilli (hold the chicken), milo ping, and jackfruit was well worth it.
Damn a huge bee-monster just flew in. ttyl.

it was nice to see everyone once again in singapore before i left, had some really good memories and fun times, and never would have thought that i would actually miss a place that i thought would be some small rural farm town with dirt roads (singapore), but i really do, and for my friends at home, prepare yourselfs, im going to be talking about singapore for ever.

Debbie
Just as a quick update, the last week we went to the theatre to watch 17 again, which was cute, I enjoyed it, though some parts were kind of weird. Everytime we've been to a movie here it was at Jurong Point, but for this one we went to Lot 1 and discovered the chairs are so much more comfy in that theatre.
Oh Chai's family was here as well and we hung out with them for a bit. on Saturday they came to campus and walked around, then at night we went to Wala Wala one last time. Different singer that day but still good. That night it rained like crazy, we were on our way home in the cab and the rain was coming down so hard that you couldn't even see but the driver was still going 80!! Speaking of rain, I hate it.
Sunday I think we went toVivo City, and then Chai left to go eat dinner with her family while Hung & I ate at Carls Jr...it was delicious. Then at night and we had a movie night with Hung & Jimin at the guys' dorm- we watched Slumdog Millionaire- good but too hyped up. On Monday we went to Pulau Ubin, biked around and then chilled at Tampines Mall for a bit to grab something to eat and played at the arcade. Then we went back to campus to wash up and went for dinner at Sakae Sushi with Chai's sister and Sean, and after dinner we went to Staff Club.
Tuesday, Chai & I spent the whole day packing and realized that we brought a lot of unnecessary things from home. It took awhile, but I think we are both within the weight limit for our luggages, hopefully. That night we went to Pho Hoa at Holland for Sean's birthday then went back to Chai's Aunt's place for a bit. After that we went to ADM to meet/say goodbye to some exchange students and had another movie night, The Classic- a Korean movie that the guys really liked but not so much the girls.
And that's about it. I'm at the guys' room right now, Hung & Jimin are packing. I'm eating McDonalds and Tony is on his way back. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to KL, where I will be meeting up with Donna then we're flying to Miri together. I'll be staying with my godfamily for a bit and then go to Brunei.
I can't believe we're all leaving Singapore already, it took us more than a year to plan and it went by so fast. And ditto to what Chai said, "What happens in Singapore, stays in Singapore" .. well most of it anyway.

Debbie
So in celebration of Tony's last day in Singapore we went out for ladies night to Zirca on Wednesday, which I personally didn't like too much, and Rebel, which is connected to Zirca (all these clubs are connected to another one) and was SO much better. By the way, the guys had to pay $15 cover which is pretty good and got 2 free drinks, while us girls got in for free and got 5 free drinks :) the guys ended up ordering bottle service and it was a funfilled dramatic night which should be one to remember. Oh before that, we went to dinner at Fisherman's Whorf, I think that was the name, and we all got fish & chips. We also met 4 Singaporeans who are going to UofA on an exchange! They're sort of like us, 2 guys 2 girls.. though apparently the UofA exchange office isn't as friendly as the NTU one was to us, but I hope the whole registering process ends up well and we'll be sure to help out too.
The day after (Thursday), Chai & I woke up afternoon while the guys' woke up at 5pm... so we just chilled the whole day and went over to the guys' dorm for a bit. Then went to meet another exchange student, Aneesh, since he was leaving soon and it ended up being a late night. Today we had to wake up early and went for chicken rice lunch (Chai had noodles) at Yishun (?) with Jimin, Sauman & Charles before sending Tony off to Hong Kong where he will be meeting my godsisters- Doris & Donna! Sauman must think we're so tardy because everytime we are suppose to meet up we are late... sorry :( lol and it was sad saying goodbye.. not to Tony, but Sauman & Charles. haha if you guys ever come to Canada, you know where to find us :)
Me & Chai packed our "gifts" luggage, which is also the luggage that is staying in Singapore while we are off to Brunei and Malaysia, and while I think mines is still under the weight limit, I think Chai's might be a little over, but hopefully we'll get it to balance between the two luggages when we come back from our vacation. I think we're also one of the only ones left on our floor, everyone has moved out and went back home already.. it's so quiet now, but that means cleaner washrooms for us AND more vacant washing machines! Chai's family is arriving tomorrow so that should be fun :) I'll be seeing my parents at the end of May which is exciting too :)
oh and here are some ACTUAL pictures from what Chai was blogging about... none of this paint stuff =P

Chai-Ying
hahahah.
I was lollygagging after my exam and went to get an ice-blended mango drink to reward myself for all my hardwork this semester (HAHAHHAH), and I guess Hung got tired of waiting to scare his second victim, and got Debbie to call me to see where I was. Epic fail.
Oh to backtrack a little: the night before my exam, Debbie asks me (or I thought she asked me) if I wanted to go for Sushi after my exam. I thought it was a good idea and agreed, I thought we were going to go to Sakae Sushi on campus and was telling her we should get those cute little salmon sashimi things cause they are sooo good. This was Debbies reaction:
Apparently she said "Shisha"
(Shisha = Hookah).
So that night, we went to this super pricy Persian restaurant in Clarke Quay to experiment with some Shisha. After a delicious meal of various types of meat and okra, we migrated to the "front patio" of the restaurant to start. I think we got an Apple flavoured one, everyone else seems to think it was Apple Cinnamon. It was only about $20, so it wasn't too bad. AND we got to watch some realllly awesome belly dancing/sword dancing/dancing on chair business. (SOMEONE demonstrated his belly dancing skills at the club later on...) Hung and Tony got the hang of Shisha really quickly, but it took Debbie and myself a little while to learn how to do it properly. We were total noobs, as everyone else that was doing it was so pro. But we finally got the hang of it! Sorry guys, I don't have any pictures but here's another artistic rendition of Debbie doing some Shisha:
Shisha.Hmm so after that, we went to meet some friends at a popular club down by Vivo City (kinda by Sentosa) called St. James Powerhouse. Apparently the place has 9 bars that are connected. Neat hmm?! We stayed at the main club for the majority of the time because we had no idea there were 8 other bars until we went exploring! Haha. The place had good music to begin with and then lots of Tony-music to follow...it was alright. HAHA Oh man, there was this one guy that was sooo...out there. HAHA he was soo out of it and was dancing all over the place.
Hmm what else what else, Tony spilled beer on me TWICE. Hmm what else....oh! Tony and Jimin got on a platform and started dancing with a bunch of girls, but were asked to come down because the platforms are apparently strictly for girls. Good effort though.
Oh! There was a super awesome Mexican style club(as per Tony) that we finally got into. Well it was more of a problem for the guys, the age to get in for guys was 23 and for girls 21*. In the end, the guys just ended up walking past the bouncer dude. Sketch lol. We saw a lot of the NTU kids that we knew and had a blast! That particular place had really good music too! I would like to put it out there that whenever we hear a Bollywood type song, we always pretend we know it and go nuts. For what reason, I have no idea.
We finally left the club, and by the time we got home and got settled it was about 5! The guys had to get up early and catch their flight to KL, so they had to leave at about 8. I wonder if they got any sleep =/
So come Saturday, the boys left for KL early in the morning and Debbie and I went to the mall to look for a new pair of glasses for myself. My glasses broke earlier in the week for whatever reason, ugh. I have been wearing contacts all week, I don't know how you contact-wearers do it. Anyways, I got a pair and they will be ready Tuesday =)
As you guys can tell, I have no pictures from Friday night because they are all in KL with Hung. So...I hope you enjoyed my awesome pictures that I drew on Paint. HAHA
P.S. I love you Debbie, don't be mad =) HAHA.
