Debbie

Just to clarify, I can't speak for the guys.. but us girls are definately studying... :) ha ha anyways, I despise mosquitoes.. with an enormous passion. We were in a shoe store yesterday and I was trying on shoes and Hung said something along the lines of "it looks like Debbie got beat up or something" :(
there are about 7 more red spots like that all over my leg!!

Some shots of our home... isn't it pretty?

Oh and I don't know if you guys noticed, but the guys got haircuts and both dyed their hair.

ps. Keri Hilson & Ne Yo & Kanye West - Knock You Down is a good song :)
pps. Go Oilers Go <3

Tonette KimChi

I am going to blog before Debbie steals it again =P

Anyways lets update everyone, the past week has one been hell of a week for me and i am sure for the other 3 as well. My week consisted of 3 presentations (group projects), i let my group down on all 3 during the presentations. =( damn. The others had a few presentations and some quizzes which i am sure they did fine on.

Aside from that we all had to deal with the horrids of registration but i guess it was good since it was 8pm here when we had to register. but yeah, i hate it, i didn't get the classes i want. great. and on another note, i think i have all the same classes as Debbie again.....

Blah, its all over for me! i am done! HA until finals i have nothing due, it feels good, YAY

soo, lets see, this weekend we decided to stick to our "masterplan" (a calender filled, at randomly sometimes, with the things we want to do and when), which so far we haven't been doing too good at it. Its always just like "EH we'll move it somewhere else".

But yeah, we headed out to Zouk on friday night after a wonderful predrinking thing at the girls dorm, it was wonderful, less then majority drinking, drinks were warm, and we had to ration the ice. we took the bus to Zouk, which was weird since it was not located in the typical clusters of bars/clubs around singapore. Once we got there, we got a little lost trying to find it but ended up finding it after the help of some locals.

God, first things first, i have never been to a more confusing bar, people were standing around the outside, there was no lines, and like 3 entrances. None of them saying Zouk. So we went to one of the doors and ended up in Phuture (which is connected to Zouk). Nice little place. its probably the size of...3/4s of Diesel or a little bit bigger then Suede. Pretty small, but thankfully it wasn't busy yet...we hung out for a bit before heading downstairs to Zouk

that same night they were having a fashion show (LeSportsac) at Zouk so we watched that for a bit while making comments about the gay looking models and their awesome "looks" when they stopped at the end of the runway. There was live music and the girl was a damm good singer.

that ended and Shapeshifters was supposed to be on, but apparently they wern't opening and some group called defected was, so we headed back to Phuture.

This is where the fun started, I have never ever been to a bar that was this packed, literally was like packed beyond belief, you could not move, and people (being in asia) loves to stop in the middle of the damm walkways, ARRGGG. the crowd control wasn't really doing a good job, their method of clearing up the walkways and forcing people to move was pretty much shining bright lights at you until you move. it looks weird, seems like the cops are coming in for a raid or something.

We finally ended up on the dance floor, where honestly i have never been closer to the 3 in my life..AND to make it worse people kept going into the dance floor, which was already packed, i cant even think of a scenario where i can give an example of how damm packed it was. I was pretty much touching who ever was behind me... which, i apparently was griding some guy who apparently enjoyed it for a moment, while my "friends" just watched in enjoyment, thanks. Oh another thing, i have never seen so many guys so packed closely to each other this comfortably and dancing. I'm thinking the ratio was like 9-1? maybe 10-1 (look at the picture 2 girls and the rest guys) . all i saw around me were guys, SAUSAGE FEST! and seriously if there was a girl on the dance floor they would be surrounded by 10guys. BAH, to make it worse, as the people continued coming in they seriously just pushed in, Hung devised a plan to just basically dance the people away-dance, push, dance push. BLAH i did not enjoy it at all, but apparently the others did, i guess i can see how fun it could have been...OH i figured out how to explain the crowd to you guys, Imagine, Lucky 97...all the crazy ladies at sales? imagine that everything was free, yeah thats how bad it was. AHH

We finally decided to get out of the madness and head back downstairs with hopes that Shapeshifters was having their set, and they were!! YAY!! pretty decent, we didn't stay long though, since everyone was tired from our pushing, i mean dancing.

Again still following the masterplan we had to wake up early this morning and head down to little india, and make our way around and back to Bugis and then head to Geylang for Dinner. Little India, was hot, well singapore is just hot, I LOVE IT. we ate at some local place which was pretty decent. and just walked around for a bit, and managed to end up at Bugis after seeing some temples and Mosques. We shopped at bugis for a while, there was a new mall they just opened up. OH and singapore has a mall thats stricly for electronics and its like 5 floors. crazzzyy

And guess what, you guys are going to see all of us (minus Debbie) wearing the same glasses come this fall!

After finishing up shopping, we headed to Geylang which is pretty much one of the areas in singapore where brothel houses are legal (redlight district). Chai did not enjoy this at all, and I'm pretty sure she was scared the whole time we were there...

It was not too bad though, it was busy and there was a lot, i mean a lot of places to eat. right beside you would see some girls lined up on the streets and some in front of the hotels. But if you wanted to see all of them you had to head down the odd number streets or "Lorongs", each one catering to a different taste i.e. Chinese girls, or Malay Girls etc. (i didnt take pictures, since we were scared that they would come after us with their like sex-hurting-throwing-skills?)

Anyways, we just had our dinner, walked around for a little, walked down Lorong 17 and headed home.

Picture: Crazily packed with sketch hotels everywhere = Geylang

Thats pretty much the last 2 days for you guys! sorry for the long post!

OH forgot, we finally bought some durian and ate it! we meaning Hung and I while the girls watched in disgust, People like buy the whole thing and crack it open on the side of the street and just eat it. crazy

PS: We have an ant infestation, ughh nasty

Chai-Ying

mann school sucks. we've all been super busy studying, doing projects, essays, etc. UGH. We're all on a pass/fail basis but the school system here is pretty h-core...sooo that's why we're all busting our butts!

ANYWAYS, i've been meaning to post these pictures for a couple weeks now, but I haven't gotten around to doing it until NOW! I'm incredibly addicted to soy products, and there's a franchise here called "Mr. Bean" (no, it has nothing to do with the Rowan Atkinson empire lol) that sells drinks and food made from soy...well actually they sell curry chicken, and i'm pretty sure that's not a soy product...lol.
Anywhoo, if you guys ever come to Asia, do try it! I love the "icy pearly" (which is just ice blended soy milk with tapioca) and the cake shaped pankcakes with weird fillings (kaya is the best!) !

baghhhh, i should probably get back to studying! Wish us luck!!! =)

<3

P.S. Yea I can't format worth shit, soo..if it looks weird, very sorry "la"!
^there's some singlish for you =P

Toeknee...chestnut, nose, eye, love, you! (point to the respective parts)

I am not that lazy as you may all think I am, and I was actually going to blog about the remainder of the night at Clarke Quay. I guess debbie got there before me.

I have now forgotten what I wanted to blog, but yeah..thanks for all the voters for team Aniston, we clearly have won by majority vote..IN YOUR FACES THE OTHER TEAM. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh, here are some pictures from that night if you guys wanted to see more,

Aren't I tall!

Debbie was actually scared...for some reason

Hung is drunk

one of our many candid pictures (you should really see them all, so awesome)
I guess another candid?
On a completely unrelated note, best things ever invited, i swear (McWings too!!)

Debbie

Since Tonette is lazy and will probably not ever get around to blogging, I will help ... my fellow Team Aniston-er.

From the same night as 7eightnine, we went to Clarke Quay, where most of the bars and clubs are situated, which is like a whyte... but so much better and nicer. Tonette's been wanting to go to Clinic forever, which is a bar designed with a hospital theme, so we went and I don't know how impressed he was.. but it was pretty cool, at least I thought so!

there were wheelchairs as chairs and hospital beds as couches, and the drinks come in syringes or in an IV bag.

Then we walked around and walked by the extreme bungee and swing and Tonette said we should go on, thinking that I would say no... but I agreed and here we are. by the way, Hung wasn't feeling too good all day, so good for him for toughing it out :) And for obvious reasons Chai did not go on, she was a good supporter on the sideline though.

We were sitting there waiting for so long cause they couldn't get the video camera to work... getting pretty restless.

When it finally worked, the guy released the smoke and started talking to us..
and off we go!!

It was really fun, you should all try it, though it wasn't as high as the one at K-days.. which I would be quite hesistant to go on. Tonette posted the video on his facebook so you can see it there... especially his reaction... <3 lol

ps. Chai's hello kitty keyboard is pretty cute... because it's so pink! but it's too bad my love for hello kitty has come and gone.

pps. I am getting attacked by mosquitoes again. ugh.

Chai-Ying <3 Hello Kitty!!!

Hmmm what's so special about this blog? guess Guess GUESS!!!!

I'm typing on my new...HELLO KITTY KEYBOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are some fabulous pictures of it. I also got a cute HK nail clipper and utensils set!!!

I was actually only suppose to go and get the HK calculator..but I came back with a freaking keyboard. How am I going to bring this home? I haven't totally thought that through just yet. HAHA...oh well. I'm sure I'll think of something!

Hmm... seeing as how I already have a HK keyboard...I guess I have to get a matching mouse! JK! =) The guy at the store/stall knew I was an easy sell and was showing me all this neat HK stuff, luckily I had Hung and Tony there and they stopped me in my tracks.

Okay anyways, read Hung's post below, it's the last of our KK adventure + our awesome time at Bugis +Esplanade+7atenine!
